How can I tell if it’s high quality Matcha powder?
High quality Matcha powder will have a vibrant green colour, while low quality Matcha has a dull yellowish colour. Any Matcha powder that you purchase from us is always guaranteed to be the highest quality Matcha powder you can get in the market.
Does Matcha contain caffeine?
Matcha generally contains one-third the amount of caffeine in coffee. For those who are looking for alternatives to coffee with less caffeine, try drinking matcha!
How many cups of Matcha should I drink a day?
It is recommended to drink not more than 3 cups a day.
Can I use a spoon to mix?
It is not recommend to use a spoon as matcha powder will not be mixed evenly. To ensure the matcha powder is completely mixed evenly in the liquid, please use the proper tea tools such as a bamboo whisk or electric mixer.

REN / Matcha Powder has a fresh bright green colour due to the high amount of chlorophyll packed in its tea leaves during the process of shading tea leaves.
In contrast, a low quality Matcha would have a yellowish tint.
AROMA
REN / Matcha has a sweet, creamy and nutty aroma, or also similar to a pistachio-like fragrance. To some, its scent reminds them of a smooth, creamy broth.
Low quality Matcha powder has a less memorable scent with a sharp, woody and fishy smell instead.

Hot Matcha Latte – 200 mL
Mix ingredients below with ASAGAO / Chasen Whisk or YUKIWA / Matcha Mixer until smooth and no visible clumps:
a. Warm Water – 30 mL
b. Granulated Sugar – 2 – 3 teaspoons
c. REN / Matcha Powder – 4.5 g or 2 teaspoon + 1/2 teaspoon
Heat up 170 mL of fresh milk to 55C – 60C.
Pour into the Matcha mixture above. Then, mix evenly with ASAGAO / Chasen Whisk.
Iced Matcha Latte – 150 mL
Mix ingredients below with ASAGAO / Chasen Whisk or YUKIWA / Matcha Mixer until smooth & no visible clumps:
a. Fresh Milk – 75 mL or 1/3 cup
b. Granulated Sugar – 2 – 3 tsp / Sugar Syrup – 15 mL
c. REN / Matcha Powder – 4.5 g or 2 tsp + 1/4 tsp
Pour the mixture above into 75 mL fresh milk with ice.
Hot Matcha Tea (Usucha) – 100 mL
Whisk ingredients below with ASAGAO / Chasen Whisk or YUKIWA / Matcha Mixer until frothy, smooth and no visible clumps:
a. Warm Water (Temp – 85c) – 100 mL
b. REN / Matcha Powder – 1.5 g or 1.5 teaspoon / 2 scoops of SUMIRE Chashaku
Iced Matcha Tea – 150ML
Mix ingredients below with ASAGAO / Chasen Whisk or YUKIWA / Matcha Mixer until smooth and no visible clumps:
a. Room Temp. Water – 50 mL
b. REN / Matcha Powder – 2 g or 1 teaspoon / 2 scoops of SUMIRE Chashaku
Pour the mixture above into 100 mL of room temp water and mix gently again. Add ice.
