Your tagline mentions your recipes are 70% healthy and 30% indulgent — how did your journey with food start?
Everything started ever since the pandemic. My makeup career totally stopped. Instead of continuing to feel stressful and depressed, I decided to heal myself with food. I started to create my own ritual of life by cooking, taking photos, videos and recipe-sharing on my IG account. Most of my posts are about my healthy daily eats. Sometimes I do indulge myself with my favorite foods too. That’s why my tagline mentioned 70% healthy and 30% indulgent.

Any tips to your viewers on living a health-conscious life?
There is such a strong connection between happiness and food. Healthy eating can be fun and creative, but don't forget to indulge yourself with your favorite food every now and then. Be happy and wise with the food choices you make. You deserve to nourish your body with the nutrients it needs to lead a healthy life.

RECIPE

Houjicha Cream Crown Iced Genmaicha Tea

Serves 1 cup
Prep time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 5 mins
Total time: 10 mins

Ingredients

Houjicha Cream Crown
1 Tbsp AKANE / Houjicha Powder
30g cream cheese
50ml milk
35g condensed milk
100g whipping cream

1 NANTEN / Genmaicha Tea Bag
Iced cubes
Water


Method To Assemble

  1. In a bowl, add in cream cheese, milk and condensed milk, use a mixer to mix until smooth.
  2. Sift 1 tbsp of AKANE / Houjicha Powder and add into the cream cheese mixture, mix until combine together smoothly.
  3. Add in whipping cream and whip until soft peak.
  4. Transfer to a cup or container and store in the refrigerator to be ready to use.
  5. Brew the Genmaicha Tea bag with 200ml of 75°C water and brew for 2 min 30 sec.
  6. In a glass, add in ice cubes; pour in the Genmaicha tea continue by pouring the Houjicha Cream Crown.
  7. Best served chilled and enjoyed!
